Frequently Asked Questions
Froala offers both annual subscriptions and perpetual licenses for our Professional, Enterprise, and Architect plans. All licenses include 12 months of software updates and technical support.
With an annual subscription, you’re entitled to use Froala for the duration of one year. For perpetual licenses, you can continue using the version of Froala available at the time your license expires indefinitely. However, to access versions released after your license expiration date, renewal is required.
For example, if your license expired on 10/1/19 and you chose not to renew, you would still have access to all versions released prior to 10/1/19. However, versions released after this date would require a license renewal to access. Renewals come with an additional 12 months of software updates and support.
After the software updates period ends, you can use the last editor release that was available to you for lifetime, but you will no longer have access to the latest software updates.
E.g. Let’s say that you purchased a license on June 26, 2018. You can use any editor release made until June 26, 2019 for lifetime, but you can no longer use releases made after June 26, 2019.
Froala WYSIWYG HTML Editor can be used in Subscription businesses only under the Pro license. Subscription means a business model that gives customers the right to use a product or service for a given period of time by paying a recurring fee. Subscription terms are annual renewals to continue use of the products.
To terminate a subscription license, you must provide written notice to Froala at least 30 days before the expiration date of your current term. Failure to notify will result in automatic invoicing for another renewal term at the then-current list price.
Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Froala software, remove all copies from your systems, destroy the licensed material, and provide an affidavit to Froala certifying compliance.
Each renewal term is 12 months, but 24 and 36-month options are available with additional savings.
For subscription licenses, you will lose access to the Froala Editor. For perpetual licenses, you can continue using the version available at the time of expiration but won’t receive updates.
